Paul Casillas was born in Santa Monica, California, and has been teaching and working with kids on the Westside for the last 20 years. Paul started his teaching at Village School in the Pacific Palisades, then taught 5th grade in LAUSD for 3 years, and has spent the last 24 years teaching 6th grade math and elementary physical education at The Willows Community School. He has also been a coaching baseball, football, soccer and basketball at The Willows for the past 15 years. He played soccer and baseball Santa Monica High School. His college baseball career included two years at El Camino College, and after receiving a baseball scholarship, he played 2 years at Loyola Marymount University.
